His Excellency Mr. Nilamber Acharya, Ambassador-designate of Nepal presenting his credentials to the President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 13-03-2019.

His Excellency Nilamber Acharya presented to His Excellency Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, President of Republic of India, the Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to India, at a special ceremony organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, today.

During a meeting following the presentation of the credentials, His Excellency President of India welcomed and congratulated His Excellency Mr. Acharya as Ambassador of Nepal to India. He mentioned about age-old relationship between the two countries and the two peoples.

During the meeting, Ambassador Mr. Acharya conveyed cordial greetings and best wishes from the Right Honourable President Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari and the Right Honourable Prime Minister Mr. K. P. Sharma Oli as well as from the people of Nepal for the personal health and happiness of the President and continued progress and prosperity of the people of India.

His Excellency Ambassador expressed that he would make, during his tenure, his sincere efforts in promoting age-old, close and multidimensional ties subsisting between the two countries for the benefits of the two peoples. Ambassador Acharya also expressed his happiness over the achievements made by India over the years and shared that Nepal, as a close neighbour of India, would benefit from India’s achievement in various fields. He mentioned that with the political stability in Nepal following the promulgation of the constitution and last year’s elections, Nepal would now focus on economic development and prosperity. Nepal’s motto is Sambriddha Nepal Sukhi Nepali (Prosperous Nepal Happy Nepali), Ambassador Acharya expressed.

His Excellency President asked Ambassador Acharya to convey his greetings and best wishes to the Right Honourable President of Nepal, the Right Honourable Prime Minister of Nepal and the people of Nepal.

Ambassador Acharya had arrived in New Delhi to assume his responsibility on February 18, 2019.
